Crews were called to a fire at a flat in Exminster today. (Monday)
They attended the scene at Deepway Lane, just before midday after received a call reporting a fire alarm activating and a smell of smoke coming from a flat.
One fire appliance from Danes Castle and one from Middlemoor attended.
Fire crews confirmed a small fire within a first floor flat involving an unattended pan. They removed the pan from the heat source to open air.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
