A HEARSE has been involved in a collision near Exeter this afternoon.
Police have confirmed a funeral vehicle 'rolled several times' following the crash on the A38 at Kennford at 3.30pm today (Monday).
Emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance, are still at the scene and traffic has been brought to a standstill.
It is unclear yet whether there was a coffin on board the vehicle at the time.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "It was a single vehicle collision involving a hearse on the Exeter-bound carriageway just before the M5.
"Traffic is currently at a standstill and ambulance and fire are on the scene.
"The driver of the hearse has suffered minor injuries but the vehicle rolled several times."
One lane is currently blocked and traffic is building up.
