An Exeter escort who wants to revolutionise sex in Britain has claimed she is being forced to leave the city because of her profession.
Charlotte Rose, 33, put herself under the public spotlight in April when she appeared in a Channel 4 series on prostitution called 'Love For Sale' alongside actor Rupert Everett.
She spoke of her intention to "enlighten" people about the 'positive' side of the industry, and her ambition to become to the UK's number one sex guru.
But now the mother-of-two has revealed she is being evicted from her family house after falling out with a neighbour who apparently objected to her risque line of work.
"Nobody deserves to be pushed out of their family home," she said. "But it seems that some people have a status which says 'I can't live next to a prostitute'."
Her landlord, who lives in Switzerland, gave no reason for asking her to vacate the three-bedroom property in the Beacon Heath area of the city by the end of August.
But Charlotte, who has a 14-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter, blames the "media attention" that apparently prompted a backlash against her in Exeter.
She said: "It's disappointing, but Devon is slightly behind the times. I've always been open and honest about who I am and what I do. Why can't people just accept me?"
Rather than staying in the city, the former teacher and hotel worker has opted to move to London, because she reckons people will be "less judgemental".
She joked: "In London I could walk down the street with a tea cosy on my head and nobody would care.
"But if I walked down the High Street in Exeter with a tea cosy on my head, everybody would point and stare. They would take a photo, put me on Facebook and say 'Oh my gosh! Look at this crazy loon. "
Charlotte entered the sex industry at aged 17 when she agreed to take part in a dominatrix-themed photoshoot.
She then had a seven-year relationship and two children before her partner had an affair.
After moving to Devon and working as a teacher at Exeter College, Charlotte decided to combine two of her passions – people and sex – and become an escort.
She boasted of being the most expensive escort in the South West – charging £200 an hour for her services – and claims to have slept with at least 1,000 men.
She recently launched her own sexual training franchise as part of her determination to help people across the country improve their sex lives.
Charlotte won a British Erotic Award as Sex Worker of the Year 2013 and is organising the 20th anniversary event later this year.
She is even taking part in the Sex Workers' Opera in London as she strives to transform a 'behind closed doors' attitude towards sex in Britain.
