Fire crews rescued one person from a disability transport vehicle which overturned on the A30 early on Sunday morning.
The accident happened on the westbound carriageway between Stowford Cross and Lifton at around 4.15am.
Two fire engines from Okehampton and one from Hatherleigh were sent to the scene.
On arrival the crews confirmed that the collision involved one vehicle designed for carrying people with disabilities which had overturned and that one person was trapped.
The trapped person was released by the fire service and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Initial reports were unclear about whether the person trapped was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle.
