VICTORIA PRODUCTS LEAGUE
Zac Newton won the third match of the Victoria Products League on the River Tone in Taunton.
Newton caught 23lb 2oz, including roach over 1lb and chub of varying sizes. He fished a 5gram stick float over shotted by 3SSG to slow his bait down in the strong flow.
The runner-up was Dave Sellick with a catch of 22lb 7oz to take 10 league points.
Steve Hayman caught a number of large chub towards the end of his long run for 16lb 12oz and third place overall.
The section winners were Roly Palmer with 10lb 7oz and Brian Sussex (default) 8lb 8oz.

Exeter won their annual match against Taunton by 3kgs earlier this month on the River Tone.
The individual winner on the day was Exeter's Mark Branson, who caught a number of chub late on in his 8kg total.
Exeter also had the runner-up as Duncan Hill's catch of 7kg including some large chub and roach was the next best.
Exeter anglers Gary Thornton and Dave Sellick also took section wins.
Darren Lawrence won a silver fish only event at Goodiford Mill with a catch of 7kg 200g. He had a mixed bag on the pole including a 3lb perch.
The runner-up was Zac Newton who fished the waggler for roach with a total of 6kg 800g.
Steve Barrow was third with 6kg 300g with a mostly roach catch on the whip, pole and waggler.

Willow pool gave Fred Smythe 11 carp to 10lb on legered sweetcorn while John Norman had nine carp to 8lb on legered pellet.
