Police were called to a property in Uffculme following reports of a stabbing
Police were called to a property in Uffculme, Cullompton at around 1.20am on Sunday 1st February following reports of a stabbing.
Ambulance also attended and a woman in her twenties was taking to hospital with serious, life threatening injuries having suffered multiple stab wounds. The victim is now stable and remains in hospital.
Police arrested man at the scene known to the woman, officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this offence. The victim is now making good progress in hospital
Gareth Meek, 22-years-old from Uffculm has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates on Monday 2nd February.
