A pair of Crediton under-15 girls have been selected for two training camps after impressing at a trial.
Hatti Luxton and Danni Phillips will go to the sessions at Bovington Camp in Dorest after performing well at the RFU's South West Academy trial at Frome on Sunday.
Fellow Kirton duo Millie Attwell and Sarah Nathan also impressed among more than 60 girls who were assessed by South West coaches and two members of the 2014 World Cup-winning England women's team, but were not picked.
Phil Attwell, the girls' head coach, said: "All four girls have done exceptionally well to get this far in a very strong rugby region that extends from Cornwall to Berkshire.
"The South West coaches emphasised that the selection door is never closed, which should be a great motivator to all of the girls' teammates.
"Crediton girls' rugby is firmly on the map, which is just reward for all of the hard work put in by the school and club coaches."
The under-15 girls will be hoping for plenty of support at Crediton this weekend when they play Newquay in the South West Regional Cup final at 2pm on Sunday.
