Manager Paul Tisdale has said that he does not foresee any movement from Exeter City in the remaining days of the January transfer window.
The window closes at 11pm on Monday, February 2. City have money available after selling Matt Grimes to Swansea City for £1.75m at the start of the month, but Tisdale thinks it is unlikely they will be spending any of that cash on new players just yet.
Tisdale said: "I'm not going to say nothing is going to happen, because if something comes up that I think will add to us and provide competition and add value I'm in a position where I could do something, but there is nothing that we are chasing which is tangible."
Rumours have been circulating this week that 24-year-old midfielder Liam Sercombe could be a transfer target of Portsmouth.
However, the club have confirmed that they have not received a bid for the player and Tisdale added that he would not like to lose any members of his team at this stage.
"I'm not looking to lose any players," he said. "Obviously it all comes down to how much money you get offered.
"There is no way we were going to turn down the kind of money we got from Swansea City for Matt Grimes, but if someone is offering minimal figures then there is no gain for us to lose important players in our squad."
