East Devon tourism business Higher Wiscombe was the national self-catering runner-up in the Green Tourism Business Scheme's Goldstar Awards.
Owner Alistair Handyside was also presented with the Goldstar Award for Outstanding contribution to Green Tourism.
With accommodation for up to 32 people across three cottages, Higher Wiscombe opened in 2005 and is based between Honiton and Branscombe.
Alistair, who runs the business with his wife Lorna, said: "We are over the moon with these awards, and will look for new ways to improve our business in a way that continues to show that green can also be luxurious."
The business continues to add further eco-technologies, and last year installed a 150kw biomass boiler to heat the cottages, the farmhouse and the pool. This means that they don't use oil anymore and the business has reduced its carbon footprint by 47 tonnes since installation.
Andrea Nicholls, director of the Green Tourism Business Scheme, said: "We were delighted to award Alistair with a Goldstar Award for his outstanding contribution to green tourism over the last 10 years. Alistair and Lorna are passionate ambassadors for running a green tourism business, and they are very much at the vanguard of green holiday accommodation."
