Homeless man denies having a knife during a row in the street in Tiverton

A homeless man has pleaded not guilty to having a kitchen knife during a disturbance in a residential street in Tiverton. Terrence Sites, aged 28, of no fixed abode, denied affray and having a bladed article in a public place when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court by video link from Exeter Prison. The offences are all alleged to have taken place at Catherine Close, Tiverton, on July 19 this year. Judge Phillip Wassall adjourned the case until a trial before a jury at Exeter on November 18 and remanded Sites in custody.
