A DRIVER was left red-faced after his truck carrying wood to be used for building housing became stuck under a bridge in Exeter.
The driver was understood to be on his way to Crediton but his load was too high to make it under the bridge on Honiton Road.
Wood has become lodged in the bridge and council staff are on their way to the scene now. It is believed they will use a chain-saw to cut up the wood and free the vehicle so the driver can complete his journey.
Police are also in attendance and have closed one lane before and after the bridge. Cars are still able to pass on the other side.
