PERMISSION has been granted for more student beds in the re-development of Kingfisher House on Western Way.
The new building, to be known as The Heritage, was granted planning permission for accommodation for 179 students in June 2011.
That was initially increased to 180 bed spaces and has now been more substantially increased to cater for 203.
The footprint and mass of the building would not change; instead the developers would increase the numbers by changing the type of accommodation on the third and fourth floors from one-bedroom studio apartments to two individual study bedrooms.
