Exeter police came across a surprising find while on patrol today in the form of 15 cannabis plants.
Cowick and St Thomas police discovered the discarded plants in Barley Lane, Exeter.
According to police the plants appeared to be dumped in the lane which leads out the city towards Redhills.
The unit posted a picture of the plants on Facebook, adding: "There is nothing to link this to any persons and police will destroy the plants. Can residents keep an eye out for fly tipping in the area as this causes a public safety issue, especially for children."
