Youngsters were given an insight into the life of firefighters during a special open day in Exeter.
The community event at Middlemore on Saturday saw the fireman demonstrate to the children and their parents how they would respond to a car accident or tackle a house fire.
A bouncy castle also added to the fun during the family event, and all money donated went to charity.
