Skypark developer St Modwen has said it hopes to secure planning consent for another building on the site near Exeter Airport soon.
It came as the regeneration specialist posted a 32 per cent increase in half-year pre-tax profit to £51.3 million in the six months to the end of May.
Regional director Rupert Joseland said: "We have continued to see a sustained recovery, in both the residential and commercial marketplace outside of London in the last six months, and this has fuelled steady progress across a number of our key developments in the South West.
"At our £210m scheme at Skypark in Exeter we have recently completed a new 21,000 sq ft special ambulance operations centre for the South Western Ambulance Trust, and we hope to secure planning consent very soon for a second commercial occupier at the development."
