Exeter's Yo! Sushi is hoping to offer outdoor dining.
The Bedford Street restaurant has applied to the city council for planning permission to introduce outside seating.
The restaurant is currently situated near Costa Coffee and Wagamama, both of which offer outdoor seating.
Yo! Sushi opened in Exeter in November 2012. It caters for 54 diners, consisting of 26 booth seats and 28 stools arranged around a conveyor belt, where people can watch the trained "kitchen ninjas" slice, dice, wrap and roll the ingredients.
