An ex-soldier has been jailed for carrying out a vicious revenge attack on a man he accused of hurting his little sister. Jordan Clark pushed his way into victim Joshua Grimshaw's home in Dawlish and punched him in the face before dragging him into the kitchen and handing out a severe beating. He also lashed out at Mr Grimshaw's parents when they tried to come to his aid, Exeter Crown Court was told. Clark, 25, of Redside Terrace, Cowley, near Exeter, and formerly of Piermont Place, Dawlish, admitted affray and causing actual bodily harm and was jailed for 16 months by Judge Francis Gilbert QC at Exeter Crown Court. Clark is a former soldier with a history of domestic violence of his own who had only been released from a jail sentence for attacking an ex partner a few months earlier. The judge told him: "You attacked the victim and other members of his family, causing two of them to need hospital treatment. The photographs show you made a real mess of the victim." Gordon Richings, prosecuting, said the victim was the boyfriend of his younger sister Paris and he believed he had attacked her and given her a black eye. Mr Grimshaw was at his family home in Chestnut Walk in Dawlish when he answered the door and was immediately attacked. He said: "As he opened the door a fist hit him on his right eye and he stumbled back. He was dragged into the kitchen and remembers being kicked and punched and stamped on at least once." His family were also attacked as they came downstairs to intervene and his father suffered a bruised back and his mother a bloody nose. Joshua Grimshaw suffered severe bruising to his face and a broken tooth. He lost a week's work as a labourer after being treated in hospital. Paul Dentith, defending, said Clark had been recalled to jail to complete a previous sentence immediately after the incident, in which he responded with anger to a call from his sister. He said: "He got a phone call from his baby sister, who has an infant child. She was distraught and screaming and upset. He left the shop where he worked, he saw his sister's black eye and was very distressed. "He wants to apologise for what he did to the victim and his family and recognises he has an anger problem."
