The Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Café provides a free drop-in event where people can pick up tips and hints on using social media, ask questions, meet other like-minded people over a cup of coffee. It is organised in partnership by the Teignmouth and Dawlish Community Interest Company alongside local PR and marketing company Seashell Communications, with help from experienced social media users. In addition to regular experts on Twitter, Facebook and Google+, there are more local experts stepping up to support the local businesses and community. Jo Bowery from Cosmic Frog and Angela Rimmer of Angela Consulting will be attending some of the next Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Cafes to share information about Pinterest, Wordpress, LinkedIn and Foursquare. The Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Café is free to attend and open to all local businesses and community groups. All of the experts give up their time for free to support local businesses and the community. The venues are also provided free of charge to support the events so all organisers ask is for people to come and buy a coffee while they are there. The next three Social Media Cafes have been booked for:• Tuesday, June 3, at Fresh Ground Coffee Shop on Bank Street in Teignmouth, 5pm until 7.30pm• Thursday, July 3, at the Langstone Cliff Hotel, Dawlish Warren, 5pm until 7.30pm• Thursday, September 4, at Fresh Ground Coffee Shop on Bank Street in Teignmouth, 5pm until 7.30pm. Emma Kay, Town Centre Development Manager, said: "We are delighted that more experts have very kindly offered to come and help support our Social Media Café. The variety of experts we now have means the Social Media Cafes can cater to an even wider variety of businesses, from craft based with Pinterest through to professional services who would benefit more from LinkedIn. "If there is another topic that you think would really benefit your business please get in touch and we will do our best to find a local expert to help. We are committed to providing support for our local businesses and I hope to see lots more businesses taking advantage of these events." A Facebook page called Teignmouth & Dawlish Social Media Cafe www.facebook.com/TandDSMcafe has been set up so that people can keep up with events, access information and ask questions.
