What's on the cards for the Crawford Hotel in Alphington?
Planning applications which would see the ground floor becoming a Southern Co-operative store and the first floor three flats were lodged with the city council.
Now the flat application has been withdrawn and ward councillor Rod Ruffle, says residents are concerned about what will happen to the large space behind the hotel.
Several residents also wrote to the city's planning department, saying they were unhappy that residents of the flats would have to park in Percy Road where space is already at a premium.
