Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has revealed the Tommy Doherty is in contention for a surprise return to action following almost a month out with a back injury.
Doherty, who has impressed at St James's Park this season with his combative midfield play, was injured in City's 2-0 win at Port Vale in late February.
He played subsequent matches against Northampton and Bristol Rovers, but has been sidelined ever since.
However, Tisdale revealed this week that the player has been back in training and could feature in Saturday's Devon derby. Tisdale said he would be weighing up if it worth risking him for the game or saving him for future matches as City look to get the points they need to push for an automatic promotion place.
