A 43-year-old man from Exmouth has been charged with possessing and making thousands of images of child pornography.
Lidio Morrineau, 43, of Maer Vale, Exmouth, faces 25 charges related to making indecent photographs, possessing extreme pornographic images which feature bestiality, and possessing prohibited images of children.
Pornographic images of children are criminally graded from one to five with five being the worst.
In total, Morrineau is assucsed of making more than 14,000 images at level 1, 167 at level 2, 255 at level 3, 321 at level 4 and 106 at level 5.
He is also charged with possessing more than 3,000 pornographic images of children.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between 2010 and 2011.
He has been remanded on unconditional bail and will appear at Exeter Magistrates Court on May 10 when the case will be committed to Exeter Crown Court.
