Rotherham United manager Steve Evans says his players will have to put in their very best performance on Saturday to beat Exeter City as the Millers look to move above the Grecians in the League Two table.
The match at the New York Stadium is currently in doubt with heavy snow falling in South Yorkshire today – wintery showers which are expected to continue into Saturday.
However, if the match does get given the go ahead, Evans is expecting a tough examination from City.
"It will be extremely tough," said the former Crawley Town boss. "We won by the odd goal down there, but Paul Tisdale is a good manager and he has got good players and the strength of his squad has been shown again this week.
"I have seen Paul's words that he is targeting five wins from seven to get into the automatic promotion places and he will have set himself the objective of coming to the New York Stadium and winning. And they are capable of coming here and putting on a good performance and winning, but if we play our very best I think we will win the game. But we have to be out our very best and if we are half a yard out, they'll beat us. It is as simple as that."
Evans' team won by 1-0 at St James's Park earlier this season, a game that was also threatened with postponement leading up to the match because of heavy rain.
However recalling that day, Evans praised the work of the Exeter City groundstaff and supporters in getting the game on.
"When I arrived at the ground I thought it would be off," he said. "But give the greatest of praise to the Exeter groundstaff and the people behind the scenes, the supporters included, who absolutely worked their socks off to get that game on. I know afterwards they probably wish they hadn't because we had gone there and won but you have to give praise where it is due and even before the game I said to Paul Tisdale 'look at these guys, they have worked so hard. Let's get go for it, let's get the game on."
