Firefighters from Exeter Danes Castle were called to a property on Eaton Drive in Exeter on Sunday afternoon to deal with flooding due to a burst water pipe.
The report had come from a resident, who informed Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service that the burst water pipe had caused damage to the ceiling and had also affected the electric installations.
Upon arrival crews discovered flooding to the basement of the property.
Firefighters made efforts to isolate the water and electricity supplies to make the scene safe.
