Exeter has been named as one of most loved-up places in the UK in the Royal Mail's League Table of Love.
To celebrate Valentine's Day, Royal Mail analysed mail volumes in its Mail Centres nationwide to identify the places that sent the most Valentine's Day cards and letters in 2014.
Cupid's arrow appears to have struck the residents of Cardiff and Newport who have been declared the most romantic in the UK, sending more Valentine's Day post than anywhere else.
Exeter finished tenth in the league table that can be seen below.
The Cardiff Mail Centre, which processes mail from the CF and NP postcode areas, saw the biggest increase in first class mail sent on the Thursday 13th February last year compared with the same day the week before.
Other parts of the UK, which have upped their Valentine's Day game are Portsmouth and Birmingham, both new entries on the League Table of Love.
Portsmouth narrowly missed out on the top spot this year and Birmingham took a respectable third place spot.
The love doesn't appear to be spread to the north of the UK, with only the Scottish Borders making the top ten this year. Sadly, Cupid also seems to have bypassed Northern Ireland.
Kevin Doyle, manager of the Cardiff Mail Centre said: "The League Table of Love has confirmed what we always knew here in Wales. I am delighted that the residents of Cardiff and Newport have been declared the most romantic in the UK. I am looking forward to seeing our postbags filled with cards again for delivery this Valentine's Day."
