Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale is not getting carried away after watching his side climb up to third place in npower League Two with Saturday's 3-0 win over promotion rivals Southend United.
Instead, the City boss was keen to praise the work ethic of his team who made it three wins in a row with the win, which was Exeter's first on home soil since November 6.
"Football is all about the next minute, the next pass, the next game and the next game for us is at Torquay," Tisdale said. "Today is gone. We are happy with what we did today, other teams have lost today as well, which has helped us, but it is all about where we finish after that last game at Chesterfield in April.
"That's what it is all about and there is a lot of football to be played before then. It is on to the next and chiefly that game at Torquay on Tuesday."
John O'Flynn set Exeter on their way with the opener two minutes before half-time, but it was not until Scot Bennett's 80th-minute header that the points were really safe.
O'Flynn then benefited from the selfless work of his fellow Irishman, Jimmy Keohane, to tap in his 11th goal of the season late in the game as Exeter's fine recent form continued.
"The win was built on a very determined group of players, which we have been for the last few home games, and I'm really pleased with the way we stuck to the basics," Tisdale said. "We did the right things and got some really good goals to boot just to cap the result.
"All three goals were good goals and the corner [from which Bennett scored the second] was well worked. Jimmy Keohane was really selfless to set up the third and very few players would have done that in that situation, and it showed what a classy player he is.
"When you have 11 players playing for the team, playing together and moving as a team trying to do their best and the little bits you have been working on start coming together, then you start to get results. As a result, we got a very valuable win today.
"I'm sure there were a few nerves in the second half because the players have been through some anxious times at home this season. We haven't given the home supporters much to cheer about, but I'm sure we did today."
It was hard to single out any one individual with so many dominant performances all over the field, but the sight of O'Flynn playing so well and scoring goals was certainly great to see after his injury problems.
"John O'Flynn is showing the form we were hoping for last year, but he was blighted by injury," Tisdale said. "He showed those signs in pre-season, but he is really coming into his own now and we are truly pleased with that."
