Mother and daughter team Diane Antone and Tamsin Scott are bringing to Exeter their ten-years of expertise from running their own, independent After-School Tuition Centre in East Sussex. Located at 13 Queen's Terrace, right beside the Clock Tower and with a car park just opposite, their Centre will open to teach Maths and English to ages 4 - 18 on February 25. The team are excited about the new venture. "We have been wanting to expand into the West of England for several years now," said Tamsin, who has a teaching qualification and a BSc in Engineering and teaches Maths at the Centre as well as being the financial brains behind the business. "When we looked at Exeter we knew we'd found the right city, and the premises we have found are perfect too!" From the start the new Centre will be employing local teachers to deliver the special tuition package that the Crowborough Tuition Centre has so successfully offered for a decade. Following a free educational assessment, which establishes where the child needs to focus their efforts, a tailor-made programme is designed, and tuition is delivered in small (maximum 5) groups. Plenty of weekly feedback and expert teaching guarantee success, and the team are ready to stand by their word. "Whatever your child's needs, from learning to read to working towards A level Maths, we can provide what you need, and we are confident that you will be delighted with our help," says Diane, who as well as being a qualified Science teacher, also has an MA in Educational Psychology and a BSc in Human Sciences.
