An Exeter man caught on CCTV launching a drunken street attack in Exeter city centre is facing jail.
David Tomkinson admitted assaulting Michael Tucker causing him actual bodily harm on October 6th in Gandy Street and also resisting a constable in the execution of his duty at Cathedral Green on the same night.
CCTV footage was shown to the court showing the attack on Mr Tucker.
Exeter magistrates heard 29 year old Tomkinson, of Leypark Road, Exeter, was convicted of another violent assault earlier this year, said prosecutor Shaun Tipton.
Warren Robinson, defending, said alcohol issues should be addressed in a pre sentence report.
The case was sent to Exeter Crown Court for sentence in the New Year and Tomkinson was bailed.
