Bids reach £150,000 when time was called at the auction of a former Okehampton town centre pub.
The former Exeter Arms in East Street was among 15 lots listed for sale by Clive Emson, the regional land and property auctioneers.
With planning permission for a shop and three flats, the property sold in the middle of its freehold guide price of £140,000 to £160,000.
Scott Gray, auctioneer and regular on BBC's Homes Under The Hammer, said: "There was keen interest in this well known former pub.
"It already benefits from planning consent for a ground floor retail unit and three self-contained flats each with two bedrooms and the use of a communal garden and parking area.
"The new owner may seek to progress this scheme, an alternative plan subject to the necessary consents being gained or even revive it is as pub."
Starting at 11am, the eighth and final of Clive Emson's eight regional auctions in 2014 takes place at the St Mellion International Resort, St Mellion, Cornwall, on Thursday December 18.
The entry closing date for the catalogue is Monday November 17
