Two fire crews from Exmouth were called out after a collision involving a bus and a car in the town.
Initial reports suggested three people were still inside the car.
The accident happened in The Crescent, between Littleham Road and Salterton Road, at 12.30pm on Saturday.
On arrival the crews confirmed that everyone was free and clear of the vehicles.
The firefighters assisted the ambulance crew with four casualties. It is not known whether any of the people involved was seriously injured.
The vehicle and scene were also made safe by the fire crews.
