Hannahs supporter Rob Lillicrap, a director at regional project management consultancy Ravenslade in Exeter, was one of 16,000 people to take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London recently. He finished the course in 1 hour 42 minutes and raised over £700 for Hannahs. The stunning 13.1-mile route took place in the capital's world-famous landmarks on closed roads – Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Houses of Parliament and the Royal Albert Hall – and four of London's eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James's Park and Kensington Gardens. Rob said: "The sense of achievement felt by so many people was overwhelming with everyone fighting through their own pain to achieve their goals. I am looking forward to running again next year." Hannahs fundraising manager Emily Severn said: "A huge thank you to Rob from everyone at Hannahs for raising such a significant amount for our work with children and adults with disabilities." Formerly known as the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust, Hannahs has been enriching the lives of children and young people for more than 200 years. One of the UK's oldest charities, Hannahs is dedicated to empowering children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities. Working across two sites in Devon – at Ivybridge and Seale-Hayne, Newton Abbot – Hannahs provides learning, care and support to children and adults with a range of disabilities. A dedicated and highly trained team of staff help students and visitors at both sites to grow and learn with confidence and freedom.
