STAFF at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital have been forced to publicly clarify they don't have any suspected cases of Ebola following concern from patients today.
They tweeted the clarification following an article on the Express and Echo website, which confirmed that the only test for Ebola in Exeter so far was in August after a woman was taken ill while in police custody.
That test was negative but reaction to today's article on social media prompted patients to contact the hospital raising concern about whether there were further cases.
This prompted the following tweet from the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital's official twitter account: "To clarify any confusion following a news report today, we wish to emphasise we currently have no suspected cases of ebola at RD&E."
