A man has been treated in hospital after being rescued from a blazing flat in South Devon.
Firefighters were called to Rathmore Road in the Chelston area of Torquay soon after 11pm last night.
Crews managed to find and rescue the man inside the smoke-filled ground floor flat.
The man was given oxygen therapy until paramedics arrived.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance, suffering from smoke inhalation.
The fire, which was later extinguished, is thought to have been caused by unattended cooking.
