Fire crews were called into Exeter yesterday afternoon after burnt food set of an alarm.
Fire control received a call from the occupant of a property in Garland Close, Exwick, Exeter to report smoke in the kitchen.
At 14:32pm two engines from Danes Castle attended.
On arrival crews confirmed that there was a small fire in a ground floor kitchen, involving an oven and burnt food.
Crews inspected the property to ensure it was safe and used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the property of smoke.
