Scott Rogers dedicated Willand Rovers' second round qualifying victory Blackfield & Langley to members of the club behind the scenes after defeating Blackfield & Langley 1-0 at Silver Street.
Luke Alden scored the second-half winner for the hosts, although he later saw red after picking up a second yellow card.
Rovers now face Isthmian League Division One North side Aveley at Willand a week on Saturday in the third round qualifying.
But Rogers dedicated Tuesday's win to those who he feels do not always receive the praise they deserve.
"These cup runs are the lifeline for the club," said the player-manager, who was on for the full 90 minutes.
"It's nice to give them something back. There are people here like Mike Mitchell, Andy Barnard, Pete Duffy – they are here all week when we are here once or twice for them. In my eyes it is for them.
"The chairman and the committee members are here seven days a week clearing up after us and getting everything ready, doing the clubhouse and the pitch.
"I don't think that players ever truly understand how much work they do for the club."
The visitors shaded a competitive first half before Rovers took the initiative in the second, squandering a couple of good chances.
Just as it looked like they may come to rue their wastefulness, Alden saw his cross-cum-shot deflected in at the near post to hand Willand the advantage.
Even his dismissal 10 minutes from time did not see Willand crumble, and Rogers thinks they have nothing to fear against their next cup opponents.
"The next game is a 50-50 one in my eyes. I know they are in the league above but I think my players could all play in the league above too.
I'm not quite sure we are ready as a team but I have a lot of players who could do a job there.
"If we all play to our potential then there is no reason why we can't through.
"We aren't scoring a lot of goals at the moment but as a team we are digging in and fighting for each other.
"I can honestly say that there are 15 good mates out there playing for each other and that is what it is all about. When you have a team of mates then anything is possible."
Rogers could be forced to reshuffle his defensive pack for Saturday's trip to Winterbourne United in the league due to injury problems.
Summer signing Jak Martin picked up a hamstring injury last week, meaning Steve Orchard – who usually plays in midfield – has been drafted in as an emergency centre-back.
"Steve Orchard had to play centre-half (on Saturday) because we lost Jak Martin on Thursday night through injury," said Rogers.
"He played alongside Simon Hill and the two of them were outstanding.
"Steve might have to play centre-half again, because Jak Martin, who has been outstanding this season, pulled his hamstring going out and doing a bit of extra running on Thursday night.
"He is going to be a big miss for us the next couple of weeks, but Steve has come in and I thought he was man of match. "He has played there before when he was a lot younger. I don't think he has played there for a while, but he didn't look out of place."
