TRAFFIC was slowed in both directions after a car burst into flames on the M5 this afternoon.
The vehicle, thought to be a taxi, caught light on the northbound carriageway just after 2.30pm.
Although a column of smoke could be seen for many miles, no one is believed to have been hurt in the incident.
It is not known where the incident took place.
Both Devon and Cornwall Police and the Highways Agency had no record of the incident.
