The devastated owners of a parrot which has gone missing from their home in Exton are offering a reward for its safe return. Prada, a three-year-old African grey parrot, went missing at around 4.30pm on Thursday, September 25. Owners Kathleen and Frank Morrison, who have had the bird since she was 15 weeks old, said they are devastated as Prada is one of the family and are appealing for people to keep their eye out for their pet. There have been several sightings around the Barton Close area of the village. Prada is described as being grey with a red tail. Frank explained that when they were home, Prada was always out of her large cage. And when they worked in the garden, they put her in the greenhouse with a veil across the door, but on this occasion, when she had been keeping Kathleen company, she escaped. The couple have urged anyone who spots Prada to call them straight away as she will most likely come to them. "She's like one of the family," said Frank. "She sits with my wife as she eats, and used to sit alongside our cat on the sofa. "She talks non-stop – when she feels like it. When our dog comes in the room she'll say "there's Alfie" and when the phone rings she'll say, "hello!". "Parrots are thought to just repeat but they are definitely intelligent. "We're so upset, my wife's been looking nonstop and we've had 1,000 leaflets printed up and delivered." If you can help phone, 07779 282142 or 07976 213427 or 01392 873368.
