One lane of Fore Street in Heavitree was blocked today after two elderly pedestrians fell into the road.
Ambulance crews were called to the road at 12:15pm today after a 96-year-old woman and a 86-year-old man fell off the curb.
The incident caused delays on the Magdalen Road junction.
The elderly couple were both taken to the RD&E hospital by ambulance.
The injuries were described as non-serious by police.
