Two fire engines from Exmouth were sent to reports of a toilet block on fire in the town.
On arrival in Phear Park shortly after 9.15pm on Friday the crews discovered a small fire involving the toilet paper dispenser.
They used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the incident.
