Cllr Clark says she is pleased that work has started at last on the derelict site on the junction of Alphington Road/Marsh Green Road.
Planning permission was granted last year for restaurants and light industrial units. Both Frankie and Bennie's and Chiquito's have posted notices on to the boards surrounding the site regarding their applications for a premises licence.
Cllr Clark is urging residents to view these notices as soon as possible as the last day for objections to the licensing application is September 16.
The notices give details of where to write to and the application can be viewed at the Civic Centre customer services reception area or online.
