Devon County Council has been asked to check on whether there is a connection between any staff it employs and the Rotherham Report on sexual abuse of young girls published this week.
Liberal Democrat Group leader and Exminster county councillor Alan Connett has asked if the county council has checked to see if it is employing - directly or indirectly - staff who were at Rotherham during the relevant period.
He also asks that, if the council is employing relevant former Rotherham staff, what action will be taken to check whether the report affects them or their former practice.
