CHRISTMAS babies brought the best present ever for parents at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
By noon today two babies had been born at the RD&E with at least four more on the way.
First to arrive was Lilly Austin who was born just half an hour after midnight struck to proud parents Mark Austin, 27, and Veronika Cerna, 28. It was the couple's first child and was not due until 20 January.
Next to be born was George Douglas to parents Hayley Johnson, 30, and Lee Douglas, 34. George was born at 11.09am weighing in at seven pounds five ounces.
Ms Johnson, who lives in Broadfields, Exeter, said: "We are so chuffed and over the moon. George is the best Christmas present we could ever have hoped for."
