Fire crews were called to Exmouth yesterday after reports of smoke and smell of burning inside a property at The Strand.
Two appliances from Exmouth and one from Budleigh Salterton were sent to the town at 10:12am.
On arrival crews found a small fire involving a light fitting inside the property now out.
Crews used small tools, a thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan to rid the property of smoke.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
