A couple has been reunited with their pet puppy the evening after it was stolen in the early hours of this morning. Five-month old Bertie was taken from his home in St Andrew's Road in a burglary at 3am today. But news this evening states that the black and brown border terrier has been reunited with his family after his picture was shared hundreds of times on social media. Reacting to the good news Bertie's owner said the puppy was 'hungry but fine' adding on twitter: "twitter, you are amazing. Even more so are the amazing #Devon&CornwallConstabulary Have my dog back. Thank you more than I can say." The thief entered the house and took a quantity of electrical gear, including a laptop and SLR camera, before picking up Bertie, along with his red and grey collar and lead.
