Dramatic video footage showing the moment a fighter plane crash landed at a popular Westcountry air show has been viewed by more than 60,000 people on YouTube.
The accident happened at the Royal Navy Air Day at RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall on Thursday.
Shocked witnesses saw the pilot of the Royal Navy Historic Flight's Hawker Sea Fury walk away apparently unhurt after the plane skidded along the runway, eventually coming to rest around 100 metres from where it hit the ground.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene.
RNAS Culdrose communications officer Pete Wooldridge confirmed the pilot had not been hurt, adding that the aircraft had come down on the opposite side of the runway from the audience.
The historic plane was one of the last displays scheduled for the event.
The crash is under investigation, with a mechanical failure thought to be the most likely cause.
