A motorist has appeared at Crown Court accused of causing a crash in which a woman from North Devon suffered serious injuries.
Darren Jones, aged 35, of Pilton Lawn, Barnstaple, denied causing serious injury to Emma Webber by driving a Chrysler Voyager dangerously on Alexandra Road, Barnstaple on November 26 last year.
Judge Francis Gilbert, QC, set a date for his trial at Exeter Crown Court in Exeter and a timetable for the exchange of expert reports.
Emma Webber allegedly suffered a suspected fractured sternum and wrist and internal injuries in the accident on the A39.
