An elderly pedestrian who was involved in a collision with a cyclist on Sidwell Street on Friday afternoon has died, police have confirmed.
The woman, who was believed to have been in her eighties and from Crediton, died following a collision which took place on the road at 4.15pm.
The collision happened just outside Poundland in Sidwell Street, and the woman was taken to the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital for treatment.
She died in hospital on Saturday morning.
The cyclist, a local man, suffered minor injuries.
Police from the serious collision investigation unit are investigating the incident and have asked any witnesses to come forward. Please call police on 101 quoting reference 631 of 11th July 2014 with any information.
The road was closed from Paris Street Junction to York Road due to the incident.
