A woman in a wheelchair has been rescued from the River Exe at Topsham.
Police officers are at the scene at The Strand following reports of an elderly woman in the river. She was brought to shore by an RNLI rigid inflatable boat.
Officers are awaiting an ambulance to take the woman to hospital. She is thought to be uninjured.
The police helicopter was deployed after the initial report and the RNLI lifeboat was also called out.Update as we have them
