A camper has denied raping a 16-year-old girl in a tent during an overnight sleepover on a cricket ground.
Adam Braund allegedly shouted out to a group of youngsters in another tent 'I've just raped your friend' after carrying out the attack in North Devon.
The girl was sleeping in a tent with Braund and another teenager at Barnstaple Cricket Club in April last year when she says he assaulted her from behind.
She says she was too scared to call out when he pulled down her jeans and leggings and put a hand around her neck and pinched her.
Braund, aged 20, who was 19 at the time, denied two counts of rape at Exeter Crown Court. He says the girl agreed to sex after they had been playing a game called 21 dares.
Mr Joss Ticehurst, prosecuting, said a group of friends who were all aged about 16 agreed to go on an overnight camping trip to Barnstaple Cricket Club in two tents.
He said one of the group went home to pick up more supplies and returned with Braund, who did not know all of the others.
They talked until the early hours and drank some cider and then went to sleep with the girl, Braund, and another boy in one tent and two boys and a girl in the other.
He said the girl had already rejected Braund's advances twice and made it clear she did not want to have sex with him but felt him feeling her back as she slept on her side.
Mr Ticehurst said:"She sat up but he pulled her back down by her hoodie and felt him pulling down her jeans. She tried to move away.
"She describes him putting a hand on her throat and starting to pinch at her throat. She was very scared. She was trying to push him away but he continued to pinch her throat.
"He started to pull down her jeans and underwear and to touch her bottom and private parts and pinched her thigh. She was in shock and not knowing what to do.
"She says he bit her neck, not like a love bite, but like biting an apple and he then inserted himself into her. She told police she did not know how to stop him and the whole thing lasted for some 40 minutes.
"At the end he called out 'Your friend's just been raped'."
Mr Ticehurst said the girl in the other tent came out and they spent the rest of the night in her tent before going home as soon as it got light at 7 am.
She did not report to police at the time but told a tutor at school the next week and the police were called.
Braund told police the girl started touching him during the 21 Dares game and had agreed to sex with him. He said he shouted afterwards 'in a celebratory way'.
The girl told the jury:"I felt him dragging at the back of my trousers. He had his hand around my throat and was pinching. I could not say anything because I was really scared.
"His other hand pulled down my trousers. I tried to stop him and kept trying to pull them up but he continued tugging. I felt him against me and then inside me.
"It went on for about three minutes then he shouted to the other tent 'Your friend's just been raped'. I could barely move because I was in so much pain but I got out."
