An appeal has been made to members of the public after a cyclist was left with suspected broken ribs and injuries in a collision during a charity cycle ride yesterday. The incident, which happened on Stonewall Lane in Crediton during the Nello cycle ride yesterday, left one cyclist in hospital after the incident. One cyclist who was on the scene at the time said: "We were cycling down Stonewall Lane, near Crediton which is a narrow country lane. As we were doing this, a motorcyclist accelerated towards us, leaving cyclists with no option but to swerve out of the motorbike's way to avoid a collision. "Unfortunately, in doing this, several cyclists collided leaving 2 of them with injuries, one of which was taken to hospital by ambulance with suspected broken collar bone, broken ribs, cuts and abrasions." The motorcycle is described as a grey coloured Suzuki Bandit style bike. No number plate was taken and the motorcyclist failed to stop. If you could ask witnesses to contact MPC 5976 Dean Drury at Exeter Operations Department or call the non-emergency number on 101.
