Algeria manager Vahid Halilhodzic insists his thoughts are solely on the World Cup, despite being linked to the top job at Turkish side Trabzonspor. The reports come on the eve of the biggest World Cup match in Algeria's history, as they look to progress to the knockout stages for the first time. Sunday's win over South Korea was their first at a World Cup finals since beating Chile in 1982, and Halilhodzic knows a draw against struggling Russia in Curitiba will likely see his team through in second place. The 62-year-old, who managed Trabzonspor between 2005 and 2006, wants to focus on the task at hand and think about his future after the tournament. "I'm at the World Cup and I am preparing for the World Cup so I don't want to talk about (the Trabzonspor links)," he said. "I know I have a lot of offers, but for now, I am preparing for an historic match for Algeria. "Speaking of my own future would not be right. My head is completely focused on the preparation for the match against Russia and I hope that Algeria will make an historic achievement." Russia manager Fabio Capello has already committed himself to his adoptive nation until 2018, but rather than waiting until their home World Cup to impress, the Italian still hopes to progress to the last-16 in Brazil. But Capello's memories of Algeria may be tainted slightly by the dire 0-0 draw he oversaw as manager of England in World Cup 2010. The 68-year-old may go on the attack this time around, possibly starting Alan Dzagoev alongside Aleksandr Kerzhakov in a match the Russians know they must win. "We have no other option than to go out and beat Algeria," Capello said. "After not playing in the World Cup for 12 years, this tournament does a great service to us. "It helps us understand the level at which we need to compete."
